Reinke Manufacturing Co., Inc. is offering an exciting opportunity for high school students this summer. A welding class is currently taught by a certified welding instructor employed by Reinke at Deshler Public Schools during the school year. Due to increased demand, this course will now be offered during the summer and will be taught in the same facility and by the same instructor.
This curriculum is built around American Welding Society standards with the following details:
- The first day of class will be June 8th. The last day of class will be July 18th. There will not be any classes held the week of July 4.
- Classes will be held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-12.
- All materials will be provided such as helmets, safety glasses, weld jackets and material.
- This will be both a hands on class as well as a theoretical class.
- There is no cost to participate.
- The student will receive a $500 stipend if they successfully pass the class.
- Students will be responsible for getting themselves to class; no bussing will be provided.
If you have any questions about the above program, you can call the Reinke Human Resources
Department at 402 365 7251. Additionally, there are job opportunities at Reinke for this summer. You can fill out a job application at www.reinke.com and apply for the General Laborer position. The Reinke Human Resources department will contact you once the job application has been received to discuss opportunities. You do not have to work at Reinke in order to participate in the class above.
In order to make the class cost effective we need to have a certain number of students participate, so we are opening this opportunity up to surrounding schools and would encourage you to sign up soon. This is a great opportunity for someone to learn a trade skill this summer!
