Mrs. Linda Brown is excited to return to the halls of Deshler Public Schools as an English Language Arts teacher and the concessions manager in the Fall of 2023. Mrs. Brown graduated from DPS in 1973, and stated that she has "always wanted to teach here." Mrs. Brown has subbed multiple times in the classrooms here at DPS over the past year.
Brown earned her ELA teaching certification from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln before going on to teach at St. Edwards and Republican Valley School districts in Nebraska, as well as out of state in McDonald County School District in Missouri and in Salina Schools and Oaks Mission Schools in Oklahoma.
On a more personal level, Brown grew up on a farm outside of Deshler before her parents moved to Hebron when her dad stopped farming. Brown has one son, Rustin, who is married to Amee, and they have two children, Embree and Taten, who live in Oklahoma. Brown enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and baking when she has free time.
Mrs. Brown will be teaching 10th and 11th grade English Language Arts, and proctoring the College English class, along with being the concession stand manager for DPS. Welcome, Mrs. Brown!
