Mrs. Stacie Heldt completed her 18th year of teaching math at Silver Lake High School this year, along with graduating from UNK with her Masters in School Counseling in May of 2023. Heldt attended high school at Guide Rock and earned her Bachelors of Science in Math Education from UNL and her Masters in Instruction and Curriculum from UNK prior to this.
Heldt's husband, Jason, is the high school principal, AD, and football coach at Red Cloud, and their three children attend Red Cloud as well: Josh will be a 9th grader, Haize will be a 7th grader, and Jada will begin kindergarten! The Heldts live on a small farm south of Red Cloud.
When asked about what she did in her free time, Heldt indicated there is not a lot of that in their household! Their days are jam-packed with activities as they try to keep up with their three energetic kids and their many commitments. Heldt stated, "Between school, sports, and other extracurricular activities, it seems like we are never home. And of course, there's always a mountain of laundry and hungry mouths to feed. Despite the hectic schedule, I do enjoy running and expressing my creativity through baking and gardening. But above all, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends is what I truly love. Whether it's a cozy night around the fire place or a a fun outing with friends, those moments are what keeps me grounded.
We are excited to have Mrs. Heldt on staff and encourage students who have questions/concerns about their schedule to contact her at stacie.heldt@deshlerdragons.org. Welcome, Mrs. Heldt!
