We ask you to help us welcome Deb Langer as our new administrative assistant while giving a huge THANK YOU to Sarah Baden as she takes on a new work-from-home position with PowerSchool. Sarah's knowledge and expertise will be missed at DPS, but she has done a great job of training Ms. Langer to take over this position in January. Thank you, Sarah, and welcome to you, Deb!
Deb graduated from Hebron High School and attended both Southeast Community College and Central Community College. Most of her experience has come from working with the public, whether it was patients and families in a clinic setting, or providing for customers/providers in an office setting.
Deb has been married to Gerald (Jerry) Langer for the last 18 years and has two grown sons in the area: Jonathon (Jamie) Yoachim and Joshua (Paige) Yoachim. She also has grandchildren whom she adores and is looking forward to seeing more of: Clara, Caroline, Donovan, Felicity and Mathias (children of Jonathon and Jamie); as well as Harleigh Jo and Hendrix, and her late granddaughter Henleigh (children of Joshua and Paige).
When she isn't at work, Deb looks forward to cooking, shopping with friends, date nights with Jerry and working in her flower garden once the weather is nicer. Deb states that she is "truly excited to be a part of Deshler Public School! I look forward to seeing a lot of smiling faces when the students walk in the door...especially when I get to see my grandchildren!"
Deb is originally from the Hebron/Belvidere area, and her father, Larry Davidson (has passed away) was from and went to school in Deshler. Her grandparents, Lloyd and Ellen Davidson, lived south of Deshler, and she spent many weekends with them growing up. Deb's mom, Nancy Davidson, went to school in Hebron and resides there, so she will be able to see more of her as well.
Welcome, Deb, and best of luck to you, Sarah!
