Tiffany Schoenrock will be joining the DPS staff this fall in the music department. Schoenrock is a graduate of Canton High School, South Dakota, as well as the University of South Dakota-SCC and Peru State College in Peru, NE.
Schoenrock's music experience includes 8 years in Hanover, Kansas (K-12 all music), 5 years at Diller-Odell (HS/JH band and choir and 6th grade band), and the last 6 years at Fairbury (JH/HS band and Elementary K-6 music/band). Her parents live in Sioux Falls, SD, while her younger sister and family live in Minot, ND, and her younger brother and family live in Portland, Oregon. She has 2 sons, Kenrick, who graduates this year (2025) and Barron, who is currently an 8th grader at Fairbury. The family will remain in Fairbury with Schoenrock making the commute daily to Deshler!
On top of her love for music, she is a sports fanatic, who loves watching anything from the NFL to NBA and MLB and all college sports. Schoenrock loves to read and if she could live outside, she would. She loves the outdoors and really enjoys camping and hiking. Walking and listening to podcasts are also a must, as well as trying to attend as many musicals as she can in Lincoln or Omaha.
To say she is excited to be coming back to Deshler would be an understatement! Schoenrock states, "I am SO EXCITED to come to Deshler and meet the students, teachers and community. My student teaching experience was with Deb Pohlmann in 2004 at Deshler. I have ALWAYS wanted to produce a musical, and I cannot wait to get a chance to help put one on! I love the size of Deshler Public Schools and my goal is to learn every students name, even if they aren't in music!"
Welcome, Ms. Schoenrock! We are excited to see what you and Mr. Mohlman put together at DPS, and a big thank you to Mrs. Michelle Schardt for stepping in to help with the music program the past two years. Mrs. Schardt is filling big shoes at DPS as she steps into a special education role in the 25-26 school year here at Deshler.
