While Deshler is sad to see Mr. Ron Rickstrew leave DPS for retirement, we appreciate all that he has done, especially in terms of starting our FFA program here. Mrs. Juliana Kroeger and her family will be moving to our area as early as June, where she plans to use her education and expertise to continue what Mr. Rickstrew has started.
Mrs. Kroeger graduated from Republic County High School in Belleville in 2014. She went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree from UNL in Agricultural Education with a minor in Animal Science in 2017.
Mrs. Kroeger served as the Assistant Recruiting Coordinator for the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska for a year. Following this time at NCTA, she was the agricultural education instructor and FFA Advisor at Palmer Public Schools in Palmer, Nebraska, through the current school year.
Mrs. Kroeger and her husband, Jeremy, were married right here in Deshler in 2018. Their daughter Adelynn was born in August of 2021. In her free time, she enjoys helping Jeremy on the farm and going horseback riding. She also loves to travel with her family.
Mrs. Kroeger stated, "I am most excited to see how I can help the agricultural education program at Deshler grow! I'm also excited to be part of a school that is committed to helping students succeed beyond high school!"
Help me in welcoming Mrs. Kroeger AND thanking Mr. Rickstrew for a job well done! As we head into the final weeks of the school year, our FFA chapter will be competing in the State FFA competition from April 6th - 8th, and will have their FFA Banquet on Thursday, April 28th at 6 PM.
