In 2020, Deshler Public Schools made the decision to partner with the Wellness4All program at ESU #5. The goal of this program is to destigmatize mental health in schools and provide support to students who battle with mental health issues.
Kelsey Koranda, who is a licensed mental health therapist (LMHP) is a part of the ESU #5 Mental Health Team. Koranda has been working with DPS since the Fall of 2020. Koranda graduated from Doane College in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and went on for a Master’s in clinical counseling.
Koranda has been practicing as a Mental Health Therapist since 2018 and has been in education for four of those years. To make a referral for a student to see Kelsey, parents need to fill out a referral form and permission form that can be found in the guidance office at Deshler Public School.
