Turkey of the Year showed a clear winner in staff member Ms. Andrea Jay -- whose sister pulled the switcho-chango on our students for a stellar entry!
The Lady Dragons led most of the game but a strong fourth quarter by Centura led to a 40-55 loss for the Dragons in the jamboree game at home.

Reminder: NO PASSES ACCEPTED at Tue night's Jamboree game. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for students. Game times are 6 and 7:30 PM. Elementary students are reminded they need to be with a parent to attend home games & should remain seated with their parent/guardian.

Congratulations to Brooke Sasse who has been selected as Artsonia's ARTIST OF THE WEEK in grades 10th-12th for November 19 - November 25.
During the contest, Brooke received 540 votes from website visitors! Be sure to check the Artsonia.com homepage where you will see Brooke's artwork featured for the next few days.
DPS will be mailed a special award plaque to present to Brooke, as well as gift certificates for both Brooke and DPS generously donated by Blick Art Materials.

Come and cheer on the Dragons in their first basketball game of the season against Centura! Tipoff for the girls game is at 6:00pm with the boys game to follow.
4th and 5th Graders were excited to meet Batman the turtle, Hank the treefrog, Dale the Salamander, and Wilbur the hog-nosed snake! Thank you to former DPS student and Nebraska Game and Parks intern Kara Kniep for bringing them and telling us about Nebraska wildlife!

The Thanksgiving meal for students/staff will be on MONDAY.
On TUESDAY, it will be walking tacos for the younger students and a chili cook off for the 7-12 students and staff.

It was a hands-on day for our healthcare pathway students! Gloved up, they got to work with a cadaver, visit classrooms, take part in simulations, handle body organs and a plastinate, and much more! Thank you to Bryan College of Health for everything you let them experience!

There will be a CNA class offered at Meadowlark Heights. All 76 hours will be completed in Dec., allowing the students to test and get on the registry in Jan. and begin working. If interested, please contact Miranda Isernhagen at Meadowlark Heights!
