When the last contract day for teachers happened at DPS on Monday, May 23rd, it had a new meaning for Mrs. Kroll, Mr. Rickstrew, and Mrs. Maschmann as the three of them officially entered retirement! Thank you for your years of serving students — we wish you the very best!
The last event of the day at the State Track Meet…the 1600 M Relay! The Dragons ran a 4:28 on the day, just missing their PR of 4:26. Way to go, Dragons! Tierra, Allie, Jacilyne and Lacey made up this relay with Paiton as the alternate.
Running her PR again with a 2:30.25, Lacey Schmidt has completed her 800 M Run on a good note at the State Track Meet. Senior Schmidt will be competing again at 5:45 PM with her teammates in the 1600 M Relay! Way to go, Lacey!
Congrats to freshman Jacilyne Peterson who competed today in the State Track Meet in the 400 M Dash. Jacilyne ran a 63.96.
Lacey will run in the 800 M Run tomorrow at 1:30 pm and the 1600 M Relay will compete at 5:45 pm.

DPS has some smart cookies! We recognized those who scored highest in one of the MAPS testing areas of Reading, Language Arts, Science or Math, and those who met their MAPS goals or gained 10 or more pts — as well as our HAL students — with brownie sundaes! Way to go, Dragons!
