What does TUESDAY mean?! Savings day for the elementary students! Reminder that the Deshler Savings Branch is open from 7:30 - 8 AM on TUESDAY MORNINGS.

RESPECT was September's word of the month for elementary guidance and this group exhibited it well! As a reinforcement for this, they received a book token AND Popcorn with the Principal!

We continue to stretch our minds and stay busy at the preschool. This week we had a visit from the Deshler Volunteer Fire Department. We practiced Stop, Drop, and Roll multiple times! We also started talking about syllables during phonics and our small groups. Students were able to choose a card and clap the word to hear how many syllables were in the word!

We have been working on counting and identifying numbers at preschool! Our fingers are getting stronger as we continue to use clothespins to further develop our fine motor skills!

Congratulations to Dean, who placed 14th and Xavier, who placed 11th. The team placed forth out of eight teams.

Congratulations, Makenna, for placing 12th at the McCool Junction Invitational.

Congratulations to the Deshler FFA Chapter! They captured 1st place in Area Land Judging! The contest was held on October 1st north of York. We are very proud of these individuals and wish them luck in their State Land Judging contest on October 22 near Wahoo!

Sophomores attended a career fair put on by TCEDA. It was a great morning learning about resumes, interviewing, finding a good career fit and interacting with many local businesses.
