Congratulations to Holden McDonald on his first place finish at the Adams Central Meet! This is the second time this season he has taken home the gold — and he is looking to do the same next week at District Wrestling. Way to go, Holden — we are proud of you!


Freshman Holden McDonald started the day off 2-0 with a couple of pins at the Adams Central Tournament. Keep it up, Holden!


DPS students are taking part in the Thayer County Career Fair sponsored by SCC this morning in Hebron. Lots of great ideas and future careers being talked about!

Reminder: TODAY is our CAREER FAIR for all 10th and 11th graders (and some 12th graders), and the next two Wednesdays are mock interview days for grades 7-10. Students also completed a new set of career interest inventories on Wednesday. Exciting roads ahead for these students!

What a game! The Lady Dragons fought back and were close to a win — but fell to Shelton, 33-38. They will play in the consolation game on Saturday at Hastings College at 3 pm. The boys will play at 10:30 am. The wrestling team competes tomorrow at 10 am at Adams Central.

Lady Dragons are up 12-9 in the semi finals of the TVC Tournament against Shelton on the road as we start the second quarter. Let’s do this, Lady Dragons!

Practice makes perfect…and the 8th and 10th graders are doing just that as they prepare for next week’s mock interviews! Good work to these students on a job well done in preparation for February 9th!





Congrats to our American Legion essay winners! Students answered "How can we support families who provide care to their veterans?" in Mrs. Maschmann's class. In the two divisions, we had Paula (1st) & Austin (2nd); and Chloe (1st), Mira (2nd), and Alexis (3rd) in the other.



3rd grade is getting ready for the Olympics! Today we learned about friction by practicing our guiding and sweeping skills in a game of curling.





Avery and Jayden had interviews today toward earning their State FFA Degree.

Midwest bank employees were gracious in sharing their time with the independent living class. They covered topics such as how to open a bank account, how to write a check, and some basic money management tips. Thank you for your investment in our youth!
