Thursday the afternoon Preschool class visited the Assisted Living. We brought puzzles to work on while we were there. The residents were so happy to see the kids and help them put the puzzles together! Working with the older adults provides learning opportunities, care and social support for children and older people in the same setting, at the same time. These can benefit wellbeing across generations as children and older adults interact and exchange knowledge and skills.
We visited the Post Office last week with both classes! Here pictures of the afternoon class learning about the Postal Service from Mrs. Kelly. We appreciate her taking time out of her day to show us around. Thank you!

Last week, both classes enjoyed a field trip to the Post Office to mail Valentine's artwork to our families! We appreciate Mrs. Kelly taking time out of her day to visit with us. Community connections can give children a sense of belonging and help them develop social skills.

CTE teachers Mrs. Kroeger and Ms. McKenzie, along with Mrs. Epley, worked with ESU #5 for grant writing today.
Mrs. Kroeger and Mrs. Epley worked at the service unit last month and have secured $7500 in CTE funds and should receive another $7500 on July 1st.
It's a win for the Lady Dragons in the first round of sub-districts, 39-26! With this win, the girls advance to Thursday night where they will play McCool Junction on the road.
aRise Up students presented smoothies and their purpose at tonight's school board meeting, as well as the MTSS team members sharing what they will present at the external evaluation next month.
