Cheer on the Lady Dragons at the Silver Lake tournament! The first serve for the Dragons is at 5 against EMF!
Come and watch the TVC Volleyball Tournament at Blue Hill on Monday, October 16th! 3rd Place match is at 6:00pm with the Championship match to follow (~ 7:30pm).
In place of the Blue Hill game, the JH Football team will be playing at Rock Hills. Come and cheer on the Dragons! Kickoff is at 5:00 PM, this Monday at Rock Hills (Mankato, KS).
This week we talked about Fire Safety in preschool. The Deshler Volunteer Fire Department was able to come and do a short presentation with us. We revisited fire safety information such as Stop, Drop and Roll and the number to call in the event of an emergency. We were also able to take a ride on the firetruck! Thank you to the Deshler Fire Department for coming out!
Both preschool classes enjoyed a fun time at the Geneva Pumpkin Patch. The weather was a bit wet and dreary, but that didn't stop them from playing their hearts out! Picking a pumpkin from the "patch" was the highlight of the visit!
Number identification is more fun when it's interactive!
The end of the first quarter is tomorrow, October 13th. Make sure to get all of your assignments in!

It was a beautiful night at Fields of Faith in Hastings, NE! A big thanks to those that put this night together for area FCA chapters, including Deshler.
Our FCA chapter will be donating money to the hospital's cancer foundation tomorrow night at halftime of the football game.
K-12 DPS yearbooks are going on sale on Fri, Oct 13th for $40 (additional $8 for personalization). You can purchase at the football game where Ms. McKenzie will be set up with a table or online. Scan the QR code on the attached flyer for online access.
Yearbooks are a great Christmas gift! Also, note that ELEMENTARY classes will be included in the yearbook.
Watch for info coming about senior ads...SENIOR PARENTS: Purchase an ad for your senior! There will be business advertisement tiers for the yearbook as well.

Congratulations to Daphne who placed 7th to qualify for State XC. She also ran a time of about 21:08 which set the new 5000m school record.

The FFA chapter had the beans cut on their crop plot and they are now onto their next project, the greenhouse! The area is being prepped for installation of the greenhouse -- make sure to check it out (southwest of the school) when you get the chance!
FCA Fields of Faith: Wed, 10/11, at Adams Central - bus leaves the school at 6 pm & will return around 10:30 pm.
Wear your FCA shirt and make sure you eat before we leave! No meal will be provided!
This is open to JH and HS students who have paid their FCA dues ($30).
