PSJP is a free, year-long college and journalism prep program at Princeton University for high-performing high school juniors from low-income backgrounds. The application deadline is just three weeks away on Monday, February 28, 2022.
There is NO BOYS JV on Thursday, February 10th, at Red Cloud. Please note that the Girls JV game will start at 5:15 PM now with a rolling schedule from there.
We will try this again...FEBRUARY 8th/11th, the JV games will begin at 4:30 PM. On February 18th, there will be a Freshmen Orientation Meeting for students/parents entering HS at Deshler at 5:30 PM. The JV BBB Tournament for February 19th has been CANCELLED.

Another day, another Olympic sport in science! Today the 3rd grade worked on balancing forces with speed skating. We watched an exciting speed skating Olympic final, tried our own balance, and worked on building speed skaters able to stand for 30 seconds independently!
As School Board Appreciation Week wrapped up and School Counselor Appreciation Week starts next week, we said THANK YOU to our DPS school board members, our counselor Joan Unruh, and our youth outreach coordinator Hannah Kane with cookies! Thank you for all that you do for us!

Congratulations to Holden McDonald on his first place finish at the Adams Central Meet! This is the second time this season he has taken home the gold — and he is looking to do the same next week at District Wrestling. Way to go, Holden — we are proud of you!

DPS students are taking part in the Thayer County Career Fair sponsored by SCC this morning in Hebron. Lots of great ideas and future careers being talked about!

Reminder: TODAY is our CAREER FAIR for all 10th and 11th graders (and some 12th graders), and the next two Wednesdays are mock interview days for grades 7-10. Students also completed a new set of career interest inventories on Wednesday. Exciting roads ahead for these students!
What a game! The Lady Dragons fought back and were close to a win — but fell to Shelton, 33-38. They will play in the consolation game on Saturday at Hastings College at 3 pm. The boys will play at 10:30 am. The wrestling team competes tomorrow at 10 am at Adams Central.
