6th Grade artists have been working diligently on optical illusion drawings. Today we added shading with charcoal. It’s a little messy, but we like the 3D effect!

A Giving Table will be set up for students to "Christmas Shop" the week of Dec. 13-17. If you have any items you would be willing to donate, please bring to DPS anytime. Popular items are: Christmas décor, gift box type items, candles, personal care items and books/toys. Items not taken by students at the end of the week will be donated to Blue Valley or Things N Stuff, so your donations stay in Thayer County. We will also have a 'wrapping station' available for students to wrap their gifts. If you would like to donate gift bags or tissue paper, these are also greatly appreciated.

The fourth graders finished up these gorgeous ceramic “leaf bowls” last week in art. Now they’re fresh out of the kiln from a glaze firing, ready to send home with their artists! This isn’t even half of them! They all turned out beautiful! Nice job, 4th graders!
