Sixth grade practicing with their Kindergarten buddies for the Christmas concert. Hope to see you there Friday night!
The seniors took it upon themselves (while 7-12 was MAPS testing) to work with the interactive TVs in the library. If you need some training with ClearTouch, hit these salespeople up - they were sharing their screens together and more! Good work, seniors!
Good luck to the JV basketball teams in their tournament on Dec. 18th at Meridian. Check out the matchups here! Go Dragons! And don't forget that SATURDAY is Parents' Night for our basketball/wrestling teams and cheerleaders!
Today in Preschool we did a Process Art activity. First they had to cut out their ornament, second they had to choose what colors they wanted on their ornaments and then we put jingle bells in the box and had the students move the box around to create unique markings. (Process Art in Early Childhood is focused more on the act of making, experimenting, and discovering rather than the art product itself.)
Today Rising Stars had a guest reader! Julie Deepe from Midwest Bank came and read "The Lost Package" by Richard Ho. She also gave everyone a candy cane! We really enjoyed her visit! Thank you, Julie!
An early out at DPS didn’t mean the learning stopped…The staff picked up where the students left off at 2 pm and welcomed a presentation on interactive TVs (here until next Friday) and the ESU #5 Glowforge machine that is here until February.
3rd grade has spent the week learning different strategies to multiply 2x1 digit numbers. Desk problems are the best practice!
Congratulations to this hard working bunch of student athletes who met the requirements for an off season letter by showing up to the weight room this summer and working hard! Progress happens in the off season — great work, Dragons!
