Fine motor journals can help students develop fine motor strength and dexterity, which are important for writing letters and holding a writing tool. Our journals are helping students with number recognition and letter recognition.

Today during our Handwriting and small group time we worked on writing the letter F. We begin at the top and draw a big line down and then we draw two little lines to finish the letter.

Recently we did a process art activity using corn! The students were given the opportunity to choose colors and use a corn cob to make marks on the paper.
