Deshler Public Schools

Thank you to Midwest Bank for starting our Deshler Savings Program for our elementary students. At the grand opening on 10/28/25, deposit totals were $428.68. There were 27 depositors where all deposited at least $5.00 AND MWB matched up to $5 each for their donations...so the MWB match amount was $135.00! Total deposit with MWB match for the Dragon Branch today is $563.68.

Our tellers set a goal of $100 each week and they were just short of that in week #1, but have made it each week since then. Kindergarten is now in the lead with $254.24 deposited as a class! 5th grade is in 2nd place with $250.07 and 2nd grade is in 3rd place with $205.00...see you NEXT Tuesday, Dragon savers!

Miss Deepe's Digital Design students are diving into the world of Procreate using iPads and equipment acquired through CTE grants! ✏️💻 They’re learning how to sketch, color, and create artwork on a professional digital platform, building skills that connect creativity with technology. Through CTE classes like Digital Design, our students gain real-world experience and discover how digital design ties into art, marketing, business, and communication fields. Did you know these students are also the designers behind many of the posts and "hype" content you see on our social media platforms? In preschool we have been working hard on identifying numbers and building on the foundational math skill of matching each object being counted to only be number word (one-to-one correspondence). In this activity students were able to identify the number on the pumpkin and count blocks to represent the number.

In this small group activity, students were able to roll a dice and count on the sheet that many acorns and then were asked to identify the letter and produce the letter sound that they landed on. Candy pumpkins were used as a game piece and they were able to eat the pumpkin after they finished! 🎃

History made... it's a first round win in the playoffs for the Dragons on the road… 50 to 28 over Elm Creek. Next up: Central Valley on Halloween. Way to show up, Dragon Nation!
