The Deshler Show Choir did a great job at the Grand Islander Competition today! You can see them perform at the Spring Concert on March 17th.

Two more teams that will be making their way to State FFA in April. Congratulations to these students for being the District Runner-Up in Nursery and Landscape and Veterinary Science on Tuesday! It was a great day to be a Dragon!



On Tuesday, our FFA members captured TWO more District Championships! Congratulations to these students for an outstanding performance at District FFA Career Development Events!



We are nearing the end of QUARTER 3. All quarter 3 work is due by THU, MAR 6TH (no ASP on this night!).
Please encourage your child to stay for ASP if they have missing work. Also, during the 4th quarter, we will be working with AR goals for K-11th grade students. The deadline for completion is May 1st . A letter will be coming home with this information attached along with your child's progress report on their goal.

The Dragon Speech Team had a successful day yesterday as the host for the TVC Speech Meet! As a team, they finished 5th overall. Individual medal winners were Jocelyn Berggren & Jordan LeFave (4th in Duet), Makenna Freitag (6th in Entertainment/5th in Informative), Danica O'Neal (5th in Poetry), and Logan Schmidt was the TVC Champion in Humorous Prose! Congratulations!!


Archery Update:
The 2025 Nebraska NASP tournament is March 14th and 15th. We will NOT be sending a Deshler team this year or transporting equipment. However, Mr. Nash may be able to get individual students registered to shoot on their own. Parent's would be responsible for transportation and assistance during the shoot. Please contact Mr. Nash with questions.

DPS is hosting the TVC Speech Meet today starting at 9 am. It's open to the public. Come and watch our speech kids perform and enjoy a cinnamon roll this morning or a sloppy joe meal deal by our Spanish 3/4 kids!


It is READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK next week! And READING is our school improvement goal! Students will be bringing home their AR goal for semester 2, as well as the dress up days for the elementary. Help your child by encouragining reading at home!


January's word of the month was perseverance! Nominated by their teachers for showing perseverance in their classroom over the past month and earning Popcorn with the Principal were Serenity, Elle (gone today), Kaleb, Teddy (gone today), Riley, and Peighton! DPS is proud of you!!
